Single purpose

Session Cookie Extractor Pro allows the user to inspect, search, copy, download, or delete cookies for a website they explicitly select for authorized development and testing.

Data handled by the extension

After the user accepts the first-use disclosure, the extension handles:

• The URL and domain of the active HTTP or HTTPS tab.
• The URLs and domains of open HTTP or HTTPS tabs, used only to populate the website selector.
• A domain or URL entered directly by the user.
• Cookies Chrome reports as applicable to the selected website, including cookie names, values, domains, paths, expiration details, security attributes, and partition information. Cookie values may contain authentication information.
• Local preferences such as first-use consent, value masking, and the session-only filter.

The extension does not collect payment information, files, messages, keystrokes, or the content of visited web pages.

How data is used and shared

URL and cookie data is used only to provide the extension's user-facing inspection, filtering, copying, downloading, and deletion features. The extension does not transmit this data to Toolio, analytics providers, advertising systems, data brokers, or other third parties.

Data leaves the extension only when the user explicitly copies it to the clipboard or downloads it to a file. Those copies and files are then controlled by the user. Session cookies can provide access to signed-in accounts and should be protected like passwords.

The Toolio homepage opens once after a new installation. No cookie, URL, browsing, or extension-storage data is included in that request.

Storage and retention

Cookie and URL data remains in popup memory only while the popup is open, unless the user explicitly copies or downloads it. The extension stores only its local preferences in chrome.storage.local. Users can clear those preferences through Chrome or remove them by uninstalling the extension.

Why permissions are required

• cookies: reads cookies for the selected site and deletes matching cookies only after an explicit user action.
• activeTab: identifies the tab on which the user invoked the extension.
• storage: stores first-use consent and local display or filter preferences.
• Access to all HTTP and HTTPS websites: allows the user to select and inspect any website without a separate permission prompt for every site. Access is granted at installation, but the extension performs no background cookie collection and queries cookies only after the popup is opened, consent is accepted, and a site is selected.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data is used only to provide or improve the extension's disclosed single purpose. It is not sold or transferred for advertising, personalized or retargeted advertising, lending or credit decisions, or unrelated purposes. Humans do not read the data through the extension, except when required by law or when the user explicitly requests support involving specific information.

Security and user choices

The extension uses Manifest V3, includes all executable code in its package, masks cookie values by default, and does not send cookie values over the network. Users may decline first-use consent, restrict site access in Chrome, clear extension storage, delete exported files, or uninstall the extension at any time.
